It's a......

Our family will be even-stevens now! (If you don't include the pets, haha) Very weird...this even makes 6 girls and 3 boys on BOTH sides of our family.
And although I haven't been in the mindset of little guys anymore, I'm super excited!!! As is everyone in our family, especially Dane who has been wanting a brother for years. His ploy to get Bremen to do EVERYTHING with him may not work for long..."Dad, you gotta play this game with me cause I don't have a brother". And of course, Bremen drops everything to play with Dane, (maybe Bremen really has felt bad for him since he came from a family with plenty of boys to hang out and cause mischief with). Some of you may already know, Dane has had a name picked out for his little brother too, Bane, a combination of Dane and Bremen. And he really doesn't understand why I'm not totally on board with it!
We're a bit weirded out by this "same-same" thing we've got goin' on with my cousin Bart and Randi and the order of our kids. We've followed them with every child they've had, so when Randi found out she was having a boy I was hoping for Dane's sake it would be accurate again and it was :) Thanks Randi & Bart!
Happy times.....yay for boys!!

bad blogger!

Sorry it's been so long. I usually blog when I don't have 3 kids running around me screaming, but I've started taking naps while they're at school (for those who know me well, you know this is very out of character), but I'm so tired by the afternoon if I don't have one that I feel like I'm gonna fall asleep at the wheel when I go to pick the kids up from school. Long story short, blogging disappeared from my schedule.
I'm 14 weeks along now and I'm not puting one of those countdown things on here until I'm like 8 months pregnant. It's just too depressing to see that I have like 150 or so days to go. ;)
Here's a couple posts to cover the last month or so and next week we're going to DisneyWorld for a week (it'll be interesting considering I have to nap everyday now and can't go on most rides), but it will be worth it to see how much fun the kids (and Bremen) have!!

scouts

Dane is finally 8! He's waited a long time to get baptized (don't have the pictures to post yet) and to go to scouts....he has absolutely loved it! For the pinewood derby Dane and Bremen spent a few days working on Dane's car. Dane's a pretty patriotic kid, so figuring out the paint job didn't take long.

As you can see he was sooo excited when he'd win, which happened quite a bit. He ended up in 4th place out of about 20 kids. The best was just watching how much fun he was having, he didn't even mind when he lost. After all the work and enjoyment Dane and Bremen got out of this, I'm now convinced it's like a "right of passage" for them to experience together.

Dane's car was given the "most patriotic" award, he was very proud! Experiences like this make sewing on all those patches worth it! haha

Field Day

One of the greatest ideas we've taken from being in the Navy is field day! I like it anyway ;) Bremen suggested we start doing this one day each week where everyone helps deep clean the house. At first I was skeptical because it's hard to imagine anything getting cleaned in this house without my two hands doing it, (Bremen does help out more now that I'm prego). But the kids actually have enjoyed doing it and in no time the house is clean....it feels like a scene out of Enchanted! Dane wiping down the couch and Lexi dusting the TV....

Lily even pitched in by mopping the floors....

and Bremen did dishes...........love it! haha

4!!!!

Yep, we're having baby #4! We're super excited and the baby should be here around mid September, which should make for a very interesting summer here in HOT & HUMID South Carolina. This better be a boy Randi! (We always seem to follow Bart & Randi's order of kids and their baby boy will be here soon!) We would be totally happy with a girl too, I'm just sick of Dane complaining that he's bored because he doesn't have a brother to play with....like I could control that. And Lily is already calling the baby "her" baby, 2 1/2 yr olds are funny. I LOVE my kids and can't wait to have another, hopefully I'll still be sane after this one ;)
