First Day of School :..(

Dane & Lexi started school today, it's Lexi's first day of school EVER! It was very surreal packing her lunch and dropping her off. They were really excited but a little shy. Amazingly, I didn't cry, I was too busy consoling Lily...she was so sad they had to go that she cried all the way there and back, poor girl. Busy times for us parents! On the other hand I actually have time to blog now!!

The Twilight Saga

I just finished Breaking Dawn yesterday~ I've never gone on such a reading spree! All 4 in just over a week, whew! I think I even lost weight reading them, it's amazing how a good read can keep your mind occupied even when you're hungry, now I know how all my friends do it! I'm so excited to see the movie now, I was bummed to find out the new HP movie won't be out til next summer, but now Twilight is coming out a few weeks earlier on Nov 21!!
Since I knew who was playing Edward in the movie it was easy for me to imagine him, but until I knew who would be Bella I kept imagining the girl on Juno.
And I've heard that this isn't really the end of the series, there will be more books with the same characters, but from another character's perspective, so that made me happy, I'm guessing Renesmee, and it'll have a love triangle in Rio!

A Visit with Jake

We had a great opportunity to visit with Jake while he was in training here in SC before he was deployed to the Middle East. We had so much fun with him, the kids loved playing with him, and Lily was glued to him the entire visit! I just love my brother, he's such an amazing person. Our entire family is aching with the thought of him being over there, and away from his beautiful wife & beautiful kids, and I could tell he missed them greatly. Love you Jake!

Twilight

Okay, so after hearing MANY conversations from girlfriends about this series, I've finally given in! And I'm loving it! Don't leave any spoilers about what happens, I just started the series 4 days ago and I'm on the 3rd book. I read the 2nd in a day & a half~I could not put it down until they were reunited in Italy!

A Schultz Visit

We had a fun visit with Bremen's parents and sister a couple weeks ago. We loved getting done with all the moving stuff and finally getting to see some deep South sights with them! This is Boone Hall Plantation, the one I spoke of in an earlier post, from the Notebook and North & South. It was absolutley beautiful there, and it's just down the street from my house, I love it!

Then we went to Hard Rock Park, which was very cool. Here's our family on Abbey Rd.
Lily was obsessed with this train, I think rode it ten different times, she's very into Thomas right now. Rebecca was so cute with her & Dane & Lexi, such a huge help~ we may summons her EVERY Summer!

New House

This is our new house in Charleston, South Carolina. We've really been enjoying it. Things are finally about settled, all the boxes are unpacked and we've already had visitors! Bremen's parents and sis came out for a week. We had a great time exploring Charleston, Hard Rock Park, and Boone Hall Plantation just down the street from us (it was in the Notebook as her summer home & it was in North & South as Orrie's plantation). We've been busy, sorry it's been awhile.

The kids have been loving our new yard, it even had a treehouse already! More posts to come, I promise ;)

FINALLY!

I have been going through major blogging withdrawals, and I've sooo missed contact with you all! Now I'm gonna check out everyone's updates on their blogs and then I'll give y'all updates on life in Charleston. Yes, I just wrote "y'all", you gotta admit it's so much easier to say than "all of you" ;)

BABY GIRLS!

Congratulations Rachel & Jake! Brynn finally arrived! She's so beautiful, man they have gorgeous kids! And we are all about girls in my family, (except our little men, Dane & Eli), because Joe & Mandy found out they're having their 3rd baby girl!! We're so excited for you guys, and we can't wait to meet our neices!

Goodbye to Connecticut & Dive Training I

Although these 5 months were challenging for our family, we really enjoyed seeing New England, and getting a taste of the culture & history of this part of our country! We will miss the sea breeze, sailboats, lighthouse fog horns, chowder, sunsets and walks on the beach.

Goodbye to Connecticut & Dive Training II

This is Bremen's dive suit.....just kidding. Bremen graduated today, and is now officially an Undersea Medical Officer. The training was physically and mentally challenging, but he had a great time!
THIS is Bremen's REAL dive suit......jk. No, the mustache is not real, but those legs ARE! Don't worry, these shorts were issued. Most of the facilities were built in the 60's, and at times Bremen thought he was working for the Dharma Initiative ;)
